Etofylline+Theophylline is a combination medicine. It is used for the treatment
of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It belongs to a group of medicines known as bronchodilators. They work by relaxing the muscles of the airway and cleaning any obstruction. Etofylline+Theophylline is available in the form of a tablet, syrup, injection. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting this medicine.
Uses of Etofylline+Theophylline
Etofylline+Theophylline is used to manage the airway obstruction or tightening associated with asthma or COPD.
Contraindications of Etofylline+Theophylline
When should one not use Etofylline+Theophylline
- If you are allergic to theophylline, etofylline or similar medicines.
- If this medicine is given along with other medicines like ephedrine to treat asthma in children less than 6 years of age.
- If you suffer from a rare blood disorder called porphyria.
- This combination should not be used in children less than 6 months old.
